The Mother of all Oils | INOAR Kálice

Let’s talk ingredients. Kálice contains Argan oil and Macadamia oil (good for heat protection, moisturising and eliminating frizz), Myrrh oil (a powerful antioxidant and great for dry hair and sensitive scalps), Ojon oil (which smoothes and softens rough skin and protects the hair from heat), Sweet almond oil (anti-ageing, reduces fine lines, promotes hair growth and gives an incredible shine), Jasmine oil (which helps to reduce the appearance of scars and stretch marks on skin) and Rosemary oil (beneficial for a dry and flaky scalp and may prevent premature baldness). The combination of these oils result in a moisturising, nourishing, restorative, antioxidant, softening, protective and emollient oil, for use all over your body. Because the oil is of such pure form, it penetrates and absorbs immediately into the skin, leaving you with a subtle glow.

HOW TO USE

Hair – put the oil in your hands and spread it all over your hair or at the ends. In true multi-tasker form, it can be added to your shampoo, conditioner or mask treatment for an added shot of moisture and hydration.

Body – apply all over your body by massaging it on, especially on the drier areas. You can also add a few drops to your regular body lotion to make it lighter and more ‘glowy’.

Face – put a drop on your hands and apply it alone or with your moisturiser. You can add a drop or two to your foundation, to give you more hydration and/or a dewy finish. You can also use it as a make- up remover, or to clean your makeup brushes.

MY THOUGHTS

Initially I was skeptical about using the same oil I would for my hair on my face. I assumed that I would suffer breakouts or be too shiny. None of that happened, and all I got was smooth, moisturised skin. You know what I love the most about it? The fact that I can use any excess on my hands after I’ve used it on my hair. Sometimes I pour a bit too much on my hand, and then don’t want to make my hair look greasy, so instead of getting messy and wiping it away with a tissue, I use it on my arms, hands or wherever I want to without fear that it’ll block my pores or be bad for my skin. Did I mention that it smells incredible?It smells deliciously floral and imparts your hair with this gorgeous scent. I also like that it has a dry finish on my body. The only thing I wish is that it came in a pump form, as the bottle is difficult for me to use, especially when there’s oil in my hands and I’m trying to close the lid. All in all I am a Kálice convert!
